Bull Bar Collection - 3 Loop Bull Bars, Non Loop Bull Bars & Nudge Bars
The history of bull bars started off in Australia, yeah mate you read that right, right here in Oz! They were invented to protect your vehicle from dangerous collisions with wild animals. Although the principle remains the same: protection, bull bars have now evolved into different types of front and rear protection bars, as well as being used for off road or overlanding purposes.
In that sense, the main question you should be asking is: do you want to protect your vehicle from animals, car collisions and other unexpected hazards? On the road, especially Aussie roads, safety should come first, and the right bullbar is the best answer.
What type of bull bar should I get?
At Off Road Tents AU we offer a wide range of bullbars, Piak bullbars being one of the best brands available in Australia. They are made of highs strength steel with tow points, airbag compatible and can accomodate a winch.
You will be able to find Non Loop Bars, as well as the Elite Post Bars, which offer a three loop design, covering the entire front grill of your Ute or vehicle, as well as both head lights.
All the bull bars we offer are essentially winch bars. What does that mean? Well mate, as years went by, bullbar manufacturers realized that most people were trying to fit winches to the bars themselves, so all bars are now winch bars and they come with the space for you to fit a winch into them.
As you will be able to see in the pictures, the no loop bullbars are a lower profile, less flashy bars. They offer great protection to the front underbody of your car, as well as being a collision absorber by replacing the front bumper. However, they do not protect the front grill, nor the lights.
Still, these non-loop bars are able to fit a winch, most of them are airbag compatible, come with towing points, and you can even mount LED light bars or pods to them.
As to the 3-Loop Post Bars, as you can imagine from the name, they have the three steel loops which cover the two head lights and the front grill. As per all bulbars, they can fit a winch, most of them are airbag compatible, include tow points and allow you to mount light bars and pods.
The main difference is the design, the weight, and the protection they offer to your vehicle. The 3 loop post bars are heavier as more steel is needed to build them, they do change the design of your car, but they also protect your headlights and grill. It will be harder for the lights to break or suffer any damage thanks to the loop protecting them.
What are Nudge Bars?
Nudge bars are smaller and a different concept. They offer enough protection for minor front collisions. They are also made of high grade steel, but are much lighter as less material is needed. They will not replace the front bumper of your ute or car, and are less conspicuous by design.
The amount of protection is not the same, however the Piak Nudge Bars are still good for using in the city or depending where on the bush you plan to go. That said, they are also air bag compatible.
